Japan – an LTM partner country

Luxury Travel Mart has for 15 years been introducing the Russian market to the most unique, exclusive and sought-after proposals from the world tourism industry. A new feature this year will be the Japanese lounge, which will house 14 participants from the Land of the Rising Sun.

Visitors to the Japan pavilion will be able to experience a traditional tea ceremony and taste authentic Japanese delicacies, while making useful contacts with leading players from the Japanese hospitality industry.

The number of Russian tourists to Japan in 2017 – from January to November - increased 42% to 71 500 people.

Russian tourists are interested both in traditional tours to the Japanese ‘Golden Ring’ – Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto – and to new destinations, including the ancient city of Kanazawa in Ishikawa Prefecture and Kagoshima on Kyushu Island.
Skiing on Hokkaido and beach holidays on Okinawa are popular as always. New interesting destinations include Wakayama Prefecture, where visitors can enjoy the many temples and monasteries near Mount Koyasan, where it is possible to spend several nights.
