The organisers of the largest luxury travel exhibition in Eastern Europe – Luxury Travel Mart aim to prove that the opposite is true. After ten years of success, LTM is changing its format. From 2015 on the exhibition will literally become twice the size. Instead of one day filled to the brim with meetings between participants and regional and Moscow-based buyers of luxury services, LTM will now last for two days. This means that participants that travel to the Moscow forum from across the world will now be able to meet with the largest possible number of guests in an unhurried atmosphere. Furthermore, on the first day only hosted guests from Russian regions and the CIS will take part, with the second day being dedicated exclusively to the Moscow tourism elite.
Luxury Travel Mart is a unique forum. It can rightly be considered a pioneer in the industry. It was LTM that was the first in Russia to introduce a system of pre-arranged meetings, thereby demonstrating that the Russian market is no less organized than the European and is completely ready to adapt to the latest ways of doing business. During its ten successful years the forum has shown that personal contact cannot be replaced by online correspondence. It is only by meeting face to face that you can truly understand what your potential business partners are interested in, and offer them what they want. Convinced about the productivity of these negotiations, providers of luxury tourism services plan their participation in LTM years in advance. This is understandable. The number of participants in the spring edition of LTM is limited to 250, while the number wishing to attend is much higher.
The organisers are not eager to expand the exhibition. In any case, this would be practically impossible to achieve. The fact is that all of the work at the Luxury Travel Mart is planned in advance. Each participant can arrange 25 meetings on each day of the exhibition. To do this, they will not have to correspond with each potential guest, sending multiple requests for a meeting. The organizers will take on all the work involved in attracting professional buyers. They are sure of each one of them and can guarantee that only representatives of companies working in the luxury tourism industry will be invited to the forum.
Both guests and participants register in a convenient system that allows them to plan all their meetings in advance. All that an exhibitor at Luxury Travel Mart has to do is to login to their personal space a couple of weeks before LTM and request meetings from the companies with which they would like to meet. The meetings are confirmed with just one click.
It is important that, after coming to the Russian capital, participants are able to meet, during the two days of the event, with the most important players on the luxury tourism market from across the former Soviet Union. The Hosted Buyers Programme, which LTM has organized for ten years already, allows a huge number of tour operators attend the exhibition in Moscow. Incidentally, the terms of the programme have not changed in all these years. The organizers pay the travel and accommodation expenses of all invited buyers. The event in 2015 will see a record number of hosted buyers – 200 companies.
It only remains to add that the spring edition of Luxury Travel Mart 2015 will be held on March 12-13 in The Ritz-Carlton, Moscow and promises to be the most spectacular event of the year in the Russian tourism industry. Unfortunately, all the spaces at this LTM have already been booked. However, those who were unable to book a space at LTM should not be downhearted – they still have the opportunity to attend the autumn LTM, which will be held at the start of October in Moscow, and also the events in Almaty and Kyiv.
